Banning Books

Some books are being banned for dumb reasons such as, police being classified as pigs. What? You ban a book and a children book at that just because police was classified as pigs what about the rest of the animals in the story people are dogs, cats, zebras, and lion’s yet they only say something about the police, maybe it’s actually the best way to describe police. When it comes to banning books I could agree and disagree at the same time. Sexual content and Violence are two ways to ban a book and maybe if you put an age limit on the book it will give no reason to actually ban it.

To start things off, Sexual content is one of the reasons some books should be banned. You can read a book and sex in about every chapter between the same two people or maybe even two different people. The main point is that some how children under the age of sixteen are being exposed to books like this. Of course we want our children to have the knowledge of sex someday but at the age of 10-14 sex is something that should not be on their mind at this very point in time.

Secondly, A solution to the problem on banning books. I think by putting an age limit on books with sexual content in it would be a solution on banning books. Since most parents don’t want their kid to know of sex until a certain age this would be the best way, but some parents are actually the reason why children understand sex at a very young age. Trust me on this one they are watching even when you think there not. They believe that if you can do it they can and if you are planning on having sex make sure your children are out of the house.

Last but not least, Violence, violence, and violence. Every one should know that violence is one of the leading problems in every city. It’s effecting every living creature on this planet and just by putting one ounce of it in books makes everyone think it’s a good thing, IT’S NOT! To tell you the truth I actually experience someone trying to reenact a violent scene in a book, the violent scene was not the danger of humans but something more delicate, animals. They were capturing stray cats off the streets and literally torturing them. If I wouldn't have said anything they would probably still be doing it.

In conclusion, I do believe in banning books, but not for dumb reason such as humans being classified as animals. Kids ranging from ages 2-9 like excitement maybe by humans being classified as animals what little kid tend to like draws them in to actually reading the book. The only reasons why I would ban a book is if the book contains sexual content and violence in it. Maybe if they put an age limit on some of these books there will be fewer chances of our children learning about these things at a young age.
