grade me on
On my essay " Is Government necessary " I would like the teacher to grade me on my introduction and my body. I believe the introduction will get the readers attention and will explain to the reader what my body is going to be about. My body is good but I know I can give more examples. Out of my introduction and my body I would have to give myself a 3 because I know I could have explained it a little bit more.

Is Government Necessary?
From my prospective government is necessary. Humans these days are brutish; they kill, steal, and have no respect for each other. We hear about how people are dying everyday, and how people are being robbed in their own grocery store. Half of the time the police even know who committed crimes and I think that is sad. Some heartbroken family is out there crying because they have just lost a relative do to gun violence and has no idea on who did this terrible crime.
Therefore I agree with Thomas Hobbes. He said human life was solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short. He claimed that we need an absolute ruler who possessed unlimited power. I can understand why people believe in John Locke, they want freedom and peace, but without government there won’t be any freedom or peace because people will be doing whatever they want.
Killing for one thing is wrong in so many ways. Without government imagine what the world would be like. We will have bodies lying in streets from beginning to end then soon the human race will go into extinction and I believe there will be no world after that. Stealing is not as bad as killing, but in some cases it can lead to it. Take for instance if someone plans to steal some valuable jewelry and while their in this act some innocence person comes along and gets shot by the robber and loses his/her life because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I understand that we can’t actually stop murders and robberies, but we can all work together as one nation and help stop the violence. The murder rates of 2006 were 403 and this year of 2007 there have only been 204 so far but the numbers are rising each day. If this continues the murder rates will probably be higher then last years and that’s not acceptable, we will have the highest murder rate in the whole country.
In conclusion I believe government is necessary. We have to do something that will help lower the crime rate in this city. Without government the world will be a great big massacre. This is why I think government is necessary

My Philosphy
I agree with Thomas Hobbes, he believes that we should have government. He said that humans are solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short. For example, humans are very competitve and will do anything to win. They kill, steal, and treat each other with no respect.
